My big girl turned 7 today!

My sweet A turned 7 today! I can't believe she's already 7! It seems just like yesterday we were pacing the floors 24/7 with her and her constant crying :o) She's turned into such a beautiful, sweet girlie, and is such a great big sister. It was a great day!

Tonight we went to the 4-H New Family Night. It was interesting. I have to read up more on what all goes into running a group. Some of us in our homeschooling group want to start our own 4-H group. It looks like some of the groups out there are so fun and do a lot of things together. I really think it would be fun for the kids. Learning from the knowledge of other parents in the group would be such a great thing, because there are so many families in our homeschooling group with parents that are educated in so many different things. The possibilities are endless :o)

Tomorrow is Mom's Night Out for my homeschooling group. I LOVE getting together with everyone. We always have a blast! If I can, I'm going to go and get my hair cut off before I go. I grow it out and then when it gets long enough I chop it off and donate it to Locks of Love so they can make wigs for kids who have lost their hair. You need to have 10" to donate to them, but Pantene has a program that only needs 8", in case you or anyone you know is interested in doing it too. I have fast-growing hair, and I don't bleach it or use much for chemicals on it, so it works out great. 4.5 years ago someone saved my sweet P's life because they decided to be a blood donor. I can't donate blood, so I donate hair :o) I realize that I'm not saving anyone's life, but I am making it a little better :o) It's my way of giving back to someone I'll never know, kind of like the blood donor did for P :o)
I cut my bangs a couple of months ago, for the first time in about 13 years. So once I get my hair chopped off I'll post pics so everyone can see the new me, lol. I definitely look younger with the bangs :o)

  1. Happy Birthday A!!!

That's cool that you can donate your hair. Can't wait to see the pictures of the new 'do!

I hope 4H works out well for you. We were part of a 4H group that seemed more like paying money to be a part of something to do projects or certain other things that we would have been doing anyway on our own time...so it wasn't a good fit for us at this point, but I know a ton of people who just love 4H. Maybe its just me. That's happened before :)
