Deer

Last year we started our garden for the first time. We put a 3' fence around it to keep our friendly rabbits out that were watching us plant it :o) Later in the Summer, when it was almost time to pick pumpkins and corn, we went out to find that the deer had jumped over the fence and eaten our corn and also took a bite out of our only big pumpkin. We were able to salvage the pumpkin for carving :o)
I've been trying to find a cure, short of having to replace the poles and fence with 5' high fencing. Ooh, and they also eat at my apple trees too :o(
So, I found this:

LandscapeUSA.com Click one the tree and then type "spray away" in the search box at the top of the page when it opens.

I really think this might work for us. It will be nice because it can "watch" over our apple trees too :o)

  1. There is a spray you can buy at stores similar to Fleet Farm that you can use to keep bunnies, deer and chipmunks out of the garden and your flowers. It works great, but you must respray every so often as rain and dew washes it away. I can't remember the name of it, but it is in the gardening section. Just ask someone who works there and I'm sure they'll be able to find it for you! Good luck!!!!
