Today we went to the park with a bunch of our homeschooling friends. It was a blast! "A" has a friend that was in public school Kindergarten with her last year that is also going to be homeschooled this Fall and she was there with her Mom and siblings. "A" is very excited as they are also going to be using Connections Academy and will have the same curriculum for first grade.
"A" & "W" had been in public school (Kind and preschool) until Spring Break this year and then decided that they wanted to homeschool right away instead of waiting until next Fall :o)
"W" is going to be starting Kindergarten homeschool this Fall and is VERY excited to be one of the big kids.
My parents live in the side yard in their big 5th wheel all Summer and then go south for the cold 6 months of the year. They put up their pool yesterday and finished filling it today. The kids are VERY excited to get to swim in it - once it warms up :o) Apparently they don't quite grasp the term 'hypothermia', lol. Hopefully it will warm up fast because it's supposed to be pretty nice for a few days and they also have a solar blanket on it.
